An interactive, musical and luminous work of art
An innovative work of public art is coming to Brussels as part of Summer Wonders. From 26 July to 6 September, the enchanting story of Lucia comes to life in the Marolles neighbourhood, combining storytelling, orchestral music and multimedia scenography.
By hosting Lucia, the City of Brussels hopes to highlight the popular atmosphere of the Marolles and the district’s shopping offer, while investing in the cultural and creative industry. The symbolism of Lucia also embodies the light and rhythm of life.
An original creation
This work is part of a series of interactive stories entitled In Bocca al Lupo (“In the Wolf’s Mouth”) created by Anne Lagacé and Mirari. It tells the tale of Lucia, a ballerina from Ravenna in Italy whose dreams are shattered by an accident and are then revived thanks to the ingenuity of a lamplighter and the involvement of passers-by.
This original creation is the fruit of four and a half years’ work and redefines the boundaries of multimedia thanks to the power of storytelling. It will captivate young and old alike.
An immersive artistic experience
Discover Lucia ‘s story through a unique structure which makes the ballerina dance once more! The interactive work attracts the attention of passers-by, transforming the public space into a magical stage where art, music, technology and strangers meet.
This immersive experience offers:
- An interactive poetic narrative in which the audience becomes part of the story
- Original musical compositions which vary according to the interaction
- An interactive light structure which reacts to the presence of the public
An Instagram photo contest to win concert tickets
From July 26 to August 9, try to win a pair of tickets (1×2 seats) for a concert among the Québécois productions HYPER Bleu taking place in Belgium. Discover the contest conditions on the Instagram account of the Québec Government Office in Brussels
